About the producer
Château Lamother-Cissac was lost and won at the Casino in Biarritz, and subsequently abandoned, until it was purchased by Monsieur Fabre in 1964. He immediately set about restoring the vineyard and winemaking facilities, and produced his first vintage four years later.
About the wine
The wine is typical of the Haut-Médoc appellation, with a ruby colour, powerful aromas, and combining just the right amount of tannicity from the Cabernet with the finesse and suppleness of the Merlot. Domaines Fabres also produces wine at Châteaux Landat and La Tonelle in the same commune.
