Information
A genuine signature of Maison Romane, the Hors d’Age cider is a careful blend of eight different varieties of apple. The apple trees grow in the old orchards of Cambremer, in the heart of the Pays d’Auge in Normandy, along the emblematic cider route. The fruit trees, ranging from 15 to 80 years old, have never been sprayed with pesticides and are cultivated following healthy organic methods. The cider is made using the Champagne method. It is carefully matured on the lees for nine years and disgorged without being topped up by a sweetened liquid.
The dazzling, golden, shimmering colour promises a very flavoursome bouquet. The nose is indeed characterised by seductive aromas of cooked apples, caramel and candied fruit. On the palate, delicious aromas of fruit beautifully combine with a fine and delicate effervescence, leading to a flavoursome, persistent finish. This cellar-worthy cider promises a fine drinking experience.
