Information
The apple trees grow in old, family-owned orchards in the commune of Cambremer, in the heart of the Pays d’Auge, Normandy. The estate follows sustainable growing methods designed to protect biodiversity, to reduce their impact on the environment and the fruit trees. The apples are carefully hand-picked at optimum ripeness. Cider primeur is unusual in that it has never been disgorged, a technique that involves turning the bottles upside down for a few days to allow the lees to accumulate in the neck. This bottled cider is aged for at least two years.
With a golden, almost orange colour and fine bubbles, the dazzling, sun-drenched nose reveals delicious aromas of caramelised apples. The palate affirms the aromas of the nose, revealing subtle notes of spice and candied ginger, leading to a finish bursting with freshness.
