Information
Domaine Charlopin-Parizot, located in Gevrey Chambertin, was created in 1977 and then taken over by Philippe Charlopin. It currently covers 25 hectares of beautiful terroirs, distributed over the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Chablis, with several grand crus. Its wines are succulent with superb élevage.
The Charlopin-Parizot estate in Gevrey-Chambertin, Burgundy, extends over slightly less than thirty hectares of vines, and offers us a wine from the same appellation made from the Les Evocelles Cru. The Pinot Noir grapes used to produce this wine thrive in an oceanic climate with semi-continental influences, drawing the nutrients they require from soils consisting of limestone and marl.
Tasting reveals a wine with a fairly pale colour, releasing predominantly primary notes of red and black fruit, flowers such as violets and prunes. The palate is lively and quite powerful when young. It tends to refine over time, as the cuvée can be cellared for up to 10 years. The supple tannins promise a successful pairing with regional cheeses, white meat or autumnal vegetables.
