Information
The Pinot Noir vines, averaging around thirty years of age, thrive on clay and limestone soils. Benjamin Leroux, a keen advocate of organic farming, prides himself on ensuring that his vines enjoy the benefits of balanced, healthy viticultural methods. The harvested fruit is meticulously sorted in the vineyards before being vinified in accordance with traditional methods involving as little intervention as possible. The cuvée is then carefully aged in barrels, 35% of which are new, before being bottled.
The intense colour promises a highly expressive bouquet. The nose is indeed characterised by scents of small black fruits combined with subtle touches of undergrowth. On the palate, the exceptional finesse mingles with an extraordinary depth of incredible length that has earned the reputation of the greatest wines of the Côte de Nuits. This is a cuvée which offers long, excellent ageing potential.
