Information
The Pinot Noir vines, planted in 1962, flourish in the iconic Clos-Saint-Denis, nestling in Morey-Saint-Denis at the heart of the Côte de Nuits. The vines, located to the north of the village and considered to be the most delicate and fragrant in the vineyard, climb on well-drained limestone and clay soils. The ideal eastern exposure allows each plot to bask in the morning sunshine while being sheltered from the westerly winds. In the winery, the predominantly destemmed grapes are vinified according to traditional methods. The cuvée ages for 18 months in barrels, 50% of which are new, before being bottled without fining or filtration.
The deep red colour reveals an expressive bouquet of intense plum, violet and spice aromas. On the palate, the wine is powerful and elegant, with delicate, silky tannins enhanced by great freshness.
