Information
Descendants of a long line of wine enthusiasts, Hubert and Bernard Trimbach manage the property with their sons Pierre and Jean. Firmly rooted in Alsace since 1626, the Trimbach name rapidly gained a regional and then international reputation, largely thanks to Frédéric-Emile Trimbach at the end of the 19th century. The property is located on some magnificent terroirs, some benefitting from grand cru status, but appellation approval has never really interested the Trimbach family, who prefer to produce distinguished blends that they market under their own brand names. Their vinification methods have resisted the siren call of modern technology; the owners monitor every stage, with a strict respect for tradition, in order to ensure that the famous "Trimbach style" is preserved, which serves as an international benchmark for Alsace wines.
The Trimbach estate in Ribeauvillé, at the heart of Alsace’s vineyards, has seen thirteen generations of the same family pass on their passion for vines since it was founded in the 1620s. The estate stretches over a hundred hectares, cultivated with commendable care and common sense. Today, organic growing methods are applied and the vines flourish in a variety of terroirs, producing wines of rare complexity.
This Riesling originates from the Brand Grand Cru, known for its granite soils overlooking the commune of Turckheim. Designed for ageing, it reveals exceptionally rich aromas. Allow it to breathe for a few moments and it will reveal notes of citrus fruit, stone fruit, exotic fruit, honey, and floral hints. Generous and full-bodied, it is enlivened by a noble acidity that gives it tension, allowing it to linger beautifully, building to a long, slightly saline finish.
