Clos Haut-Peyraguey 1er Grand Cru Classé
Information
About the producer

A premier grand cru classé, the Clos Haut Peyraguey is located at the highest point on the Bommes plateau. This terroir is rich in clay which gives more ample wines than in the rest of the appellation. The domain was born from the separation of the Domaine de Peyraguey. In 2012, Bernard Magrez bought the property from the Pauly family, becoming the only owner of four grands crus in the four major regions of Libournais, Graves, Sauternes and Médoc.

About the wine

These fruity wines are finer than they are heady, developing hints of peach, apricot, honey, spices and candied citrus fruits. This wine is the colour of straw and displays a pure effect on the palate, bearing testimony to clear improvement since the early 1990s.
