Information
Jean-Jacques Robert has managed the Robert-Denogent family domaine since 1988. It is a small vineyard of five hectares divided between Fuissé and Solutré-Pouilly. The élevage is long and done gently. The wines are classy and full of character.
A discrete domain in the Beaujolais region, Robert Denogent crafts a cuvée named Jules Chauvet. This is in homage to the father of natural wine, a pioneer who inspired a whole generation of producers passionate about nature and its raw materials. Made to be enjoyed in its youth, whilst still fruity, it has a ruby red hue and a charming bouquet. We find notes of black cherry, forest fruit, raspberry, and flowers like violet. Supple and juicy, this wine carries fine, softened tannins as well as a well-mastered acidity. It can be served with a simple dish like regional charcuterie.
