Information
The story of this Rhône Valley domain began in the 1960s, when Remy Klein, originally from Alsace, decided to purchase five hectares in Réméjeanne. The 35-hectare domain is run by Rémy and his son Olivier, who came to the domain in 2010. There is a spirit of authenticity that brings them together, a work ethic that has led them to certify their domain in organic production. The wines made here are notable for their finesse and their elegance, tense but also fresh.
Made up of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah, this wine comes from 25-year-old vines. The grapes are harvested by hand before being destemmed and pressed. A cold maceration takes place before fermentation. The juice is put in vats for 30 days at 26-28 degrees. Vinification involves no added sulphur, and the wine is matured in vats for an average of 12 months. A cuvée with aromas of spices, tobacco and red fruits. The 2015 vintage received a score of 17/20 from Bettane&Desseauve.
