Information
The Henri Revourseau domain counts 13.6 hectares of grand and premier cru vines which produce outstanding wines, particularly the ancient Clos de Vougeot vines at the heart of the Clos which produce a wine of rare strength and ageing potential. The clos from the Rebourseau property spreads across 5.78 ha in front of the front steps of a beautiful dwelling acquired by General Henri Rebourseau in 1923. In 1919 the General regrouped his father's vines around this beautiful 18th century house. His son Pierre Rebourseau then successfully managed the domain up until the 1980s. Today, the family property is managed by one of the General's great-grandsons, Jean de Surrel.
This premier cru is produced from 20-year-old vines of Pinot Noir grown on soils of limestone and clay. It boasts a charming cherry red colour and a fruity bouquet, and its elegant tannins lend good aging potential.
