Arbois Vin Jaune Jacques Puffeney
Information
About the producer

Created in 1960 by Jacques Puffeney, the domain spans 6 hectares, spread over a dozen parcels. He farmed Poulsard, Pinot Noir, Trousseau, Chardonnay and Savagnin with meticulous care. Puffeney retired in 2014 and sold 4.25 hectares of the domain to Marquis d'Angerville (Volnay, Burgundy). He kept the rest for himself and one of his nephews.

About the wine

Jacques Puffeney's domain may have been small but the reputation of its vin jaune certainly wasn't! Popular thanks to its finesse and precision, it is perfect for aging and reveals an aromatic and flavoursome bouquet with great complexity. Enhanced by fine minerality and wonderful acidity, it is nevertheless a superb example of the genre.
