Information
The Château de Marsannay has 28 hectares on the most beautiful terroirs of Marsannay (Champs Perdrix, Clos du Roy, Les Longeroies, Les Echezots, Les Grasses Têtes, Les Crais and so on). It has belonged to Olivier Halley (Château de Meursault) since 2012, who has invested heavily in the property. This seems to have paid off and nowadays the Château de Marsannay’s production is very interesting
This cuvée is produced from Pinot Noir grown on clay-limestone soils facing east and south-east. After manual harvests and sorting, the berries are vinified in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats. The wine is then matured in casks for about one year. It reflects its complex terroir with notes of fresh fruit, smoky notes and balanced fruit on the palate.
