Information
The Molino domaine, which was established in 1953, includes one of the most famous crus in the Langhe region – "Vigna Conca". After the death of founder Giuseppe in 1978, his son Mauro Molino took over the management of the domaine following the completion of his diploma in oenology. Drawing on his experience gained at various domaines in northern Italy, he has shifted production towards high-end wines. His son Matteo now works with him full-time.
This cuvée comes from a 38-are micro-parcel with a south/south-easterly exposure. It is vinified in stainless steel vats and aged in wooden vats and barrels for 18 months. The wine is then aged for 4 months in the bottle. It has a rich, ripe red and dark berry bouquet with liquorice notes, and is elegant on the palate, with silky tannins and a very long finish. A wine with great cellaring potential.
