Information
The Lamy family has been working in Saint-Aubin since the mid-17th century. Hubert Lamy created his domaine in 1973, over 8 hectares. Today, the domaine covers 18.5ha and produces wines in 18 appellations. Olivier Lamy, who joined the domaine in 1995, has now followed his father into management. Today he is one of the best ambassadors of the Saint-Aubin appellation, which is sadly not well known and is a superb alternative to the Chassagne wines. Less seductive than those of certain neighbours, the wines are superb in their integrity and elegance thanks to a particularly well managed aging process and generally made in 600 litre demi-muids. A not-to-be-missed location in the Côte de Beaune.
Hubert Lamy owns 1.25 hectares in the "Le clos de la Chatenière" premier cru. Chardonnay vines were planted here in 1964. The wine is concentrated, with superb substance. The terroir's mineral signature is particularly attractive. A magnificent Chardonnay for drinking after 3-12 years' aging.
