About the producer

Lafarge is a family-owned domain of 12 hectares, established in Volnay since the 19th century. Since then, each generation has strived to make it prosper and grow. In 1949 Michel and his father ran the domain; his son Frédéric joined them in 1978. From 1997 he started to use biodynamics in the domain and since 2000 all the vineyards are organically cultivated.

About the wine

Volnay Clos des Ducs is one of the finest cuvées of the domaine. It is characterised by its finesse and its depth, its fine fruitiness and silky tannins. This cuvée goes well with white meat (poultry, veal or sweetbreads) or roasted or braised red meat.
