Philippe Valette belongs to the third generation of wine growers in charge of the 8.5-hectare family domaine of the Mâconnais coast, producing exclusively white wines. Converted into organic farming in 1992, the domaine pays special attention to soil and vines throughout the year. The wines are neither filtered nor clarified. Philippe Valette likes to take his time, the élevage of his wines is done depending on their maturity, not according to the market. The wines spend 9, 14 or 18 months in barrels and even up to seven years for certain cuvées. Outstanding wines are exceptional, with a finesse and a rare complexity

Et Pourtant is a cuvée which had been refused approval - initially it was called "Je suis Viré" (I've been kicked out) until it was also banned from using this name. And yet, Et Pourtant, is a really lovely wine! The nose presents aromas of acidic white fruit, warm stones and notes of curry and ginger. What characterises it on the palate is its roundness, full body, spicy flavours and gorgeous finish with mineral notes.
