Information
Joseph Matrot, the grandson of vineyard owners in Puligny-Montrachet, settled in Meursault at his wife's family domaine in 1914. Six generations later, the sisters Adèle and Elsa Matrot joined their parents Thierry and Pascale on the domaine. Since 2000, the 22 hectare vineyard has been converted to organic farming.
The Saint-Aubin Fleur de Coteaux premier cru is a very attractive wine, with great balance; it is particularly suitable for starter dishes (terrines, salad) and fish in sauce. The nose evokes citrus fruit and fresh almonds, with slight woody hints from élevage. Ample, concentrated and fresh on the palate, with a good balance between richness and acidity.
