The Kracher domaine has earned an international reputation for the quality and sophistication of its sweet wines and has become the standard bearer for Austrian vineyards. Three generations of winegrowers have worked since 1928 to produce consistently excellent sweet wines. It is located close to Neusiedl lake where the climate is propitious to the formation of noble rot. There is a wide range of wines and different vinifications are offered, even for wines of similar sweetness. The wines very clearly reflect the know-how handed down from one generation to the next with an enduring love of wine. They are all perfectly balanced, rich and wonderfully aromatic.

Grüner Veltliner makes for a pale coloured wine with green highlights. The expressive nose unveils aromas of white-fleshed fruit with some balsamic notes. It makes a clean and direct first impression before mellowing into a soft and silky texture with a hint of residual sugar to add a delicious edge. There's no doubt about it – this is an excellent introduction to Austrian grape varieties.
