Information
Domaine Chavy Chouet, located in Meursault, is a family vineyard that extends over 13 hectares and has plots in the most beautiful villages of the Côte de Beaune: Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Volnay and Pommard. The domaine comes from the union of the two eponymous families, settled for generations in the region. Currently managed by Romaric Chavy (7th generation), the farm is cultivated in an environmentally friendly manner, limiting chemicals as much as possible. The very fair prices mean it is unmissable for any lover of great Burgundy wines.
Bourgogne La Taupe is produced from very old Pommard vines with low yields which make for very rounded wines. This wine has delicate aromas of red fruit which evolve towards notes of liquorice and spice. The palate is very supple and drinkable with cherry flavours and noticeable but soft, silky tannins. It pairs well with red meat, veal and some poultry. A Pommard (even if it doesn't bear the appellation), for this price is truly exceptional!
