Information
About the producer

Lafarge is a family-owned domain of 12 hectares, established in Volnay since the 19th century. Since then, each generation has strived to make it prosper and grow. In 1949 Michel and his father ran the domain; his son Frédéric joined them in 1978. From 1997 he started to use biodynamics in the domain and since 2000 all the vineyards are organically cultivated.

About the wine

The vines of this premier cru Les Caillerets are 50 years old, giving it deep minerality and an energy which comes directly from the soil. It is a charming wine to keep in the cellar because it is enhanced after several years’ aging.
