Information
Bodega Elias Moro is located in the east of the Toro appellation, between Zamora and Valladolid. It was established in 1998 and spans 66 different parcels with pebbly, sandy soil. This soil profile allowed certain old vines to withstand the phylloxera blight which decimated French vineyards during this period. The domaine places particular emphasis on indigenous grape varieties (with yields of 35 hl/ha), showing them off to best advantage in powerful, fruity and unfailingly rich wines. Vinification in stainless steel vats preserves the purity of the fruity notes and ageing in wooden barrels adds a pleasing complexity.
Bodega Elias Mora's Gran Elias cuvée is produced from the domain's finest parcels. Matured for 17 months in French oak casks, it is a deep, complex, fresh wine which can either be drunk young or kept for several years.
