Information
When Valence native Vicente Taberner married a German and went to live in Frankfurt, he created a major Spanish wine import company which has become one of the largest in the country over time. He is a great wine enthusiast and the idea of producing his own wine had been gnawing away at him for a long time. He therefore set his sights on Cadiz, in the Arcos de la Frontera area. There, he has planted Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a traditional grape variety called Tintilla de rota. For his white wines, he favours Chardonnay. The vines are managed in an environmentally friendly way and harvested by hand. Vicente Taberner is motivated by the desire to create wines which are a perfect expression of their terroirs and the purity of their grape variety. They are sought after for their elegance, subtle melting tannins, complexity and power.
This wine is a blend of Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet grapes that are harvested by hand and fermented at a regulated temperature. The wine is then aged in French oak for 12 months. It is deep and vibrant purple in colour and has a nose of ripe dark fruits, spices, mocha, liquorice, pepper and violet flowers. The palate reveals these same delicious notes along with an irresistibly silky texture and perfect balance.
