Yannick Amirault took over a few of his grandfather's vines in the 1970s, including the legendary terroir of Les Malgagnes. He developed the vineyard, choosing to expand over the years through choices that reflect the respect inherent to his wine-making methods and vinification.

The Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil Les Malgagnes is the wine that best represents its appellation, featuring striking generosity. It is produced from vines with an average age of fifty planted in clayey soil. The wine is aged for fourteen months in casks. Featuring a fleshy, rounded aspect on the palate and notes of tobacco, this wine is best left before consuming, as it can be particularly exuberant in its younger stages.
