Information
Domaine Drouhin-Laroze has been a family domaine for more than a century and a half, with many prestigious appellations in premier crus and grand crus and therefore an exceptional heritage. Today Philippe and Christine Drouhin and their children manage the domaine.
Domaine Drouhin-Laroze's Chapel-Chambertin Grand Cru comes from an east-facing plot at an altitude of 260 m, whose vines date from 1973 and 1986. The monks of Bèze built a chapel there in 1155; it was rebuilt in 1457 before being razed to the ground, and lends its name to the appellation. This wine has vanilla and floral touches, and spicy and woody aromas. Its soft tannins lend it elegance and refinement. Pure and complex, it has a vivid, mineral finish.
