Information
The Ceretto estate was established in the early 1980s (1982) and the vision was to vinify grapes from the best Barolo appellation vineyards. This vinification mission is still being pursued today with some of the most prestigious crus in the region, including Brunate de La Morra, Prapo de Serralunga d'Alba and Cannubi San Lorenzo de Barolo.
The Nebbiolo grapes used for this cuvée have been grown in absolutely exceptional conditions. Its south/south-easterly exposure and altitude (between 270m and 380m), and its clay and silt soil, enable it to develop rare distinction and energy. This wine deserves a few years of keeping to allow it to develop its full concentration and mellow its tannins. Superb with strongly-flavoured meats such as game.
