Information
The spearhead of the Languedoc wine revolution, Mas Jullien was created by Olivier Jullien in 1985. Located in Joncquières, to the north of Montpellier, the domain covers 18 hectares. By studying his soils carefully and using native grape varieties, Olivier Jullien has elevated his domain to the highest levels of excellence, producing refined, subtle, perfectly-balanced wines. The vineyard is cultivated in an environmentally friendly way, and was even organically certified for a while. Olivier Jullien produces superb wines which are acknowledged and sought out by connoisseurs and professionals alike. Thanks to his work, the domain is now clearly at the very peak of the appellation.
Cultivated according to extremely environmentally friendly methods and matured in barrique barrels and foudre vats, the Syrah, Carignan, Grenache and Mourvèdre grapes which compose this cuvée express themselves in a deliciously aromatic register, featuring touches of black berries and licorice. Its silky substance is well balanced, with an attractive freshness lending it harmony.
