Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru Bertagna
Information
About the producer

Founded by Claude Bertagna in the 1950s, Domaine Bertagna has belonged to the Günther Reh family for over thirty years, and over the last few years has enjoyed significant investment designed to modernise it, pushed forward by its current manager Eva Reh-Siddle. As a result, it now features among some of Burgundy's most renowned domains.

About the wine

The Clos de Vougeot is real enclosed-plot with walls. It is east-facing and planted in well-drained soil. It is the vastest grand cru from the Côte-de-Nuit. Aged for 18 months in oak barrels, it reveals toasted notes and red fruit and spice aromas. Full-bodied, rich and complex, this wine is well-balanced and will age wonderfully.
