Information
The "Part des Anges" ["Angels' Share"] is the poetic term used to describe the evaporation that occurs when Cognac is left to age in barrels. The term now refers to a yearly gathering, bringing the men and women of Cognac together for a charity event.
This year, the "Fée du Paradis" is representing the 4th edition of an event that was founded by the Interprofession du Cognac in 2006.
This auction sale offers collectors the opportunity to bid on truly exceptional, even unique, bottles of Cognac offered up by generous donors. Profit from sales will be donated to the Fondation de France.
The official launch of "Vendanges", the Collection Courvoisier Erté's second carafe, took place on 18 October 1989, on the day of Erté's 97th birthday. "Vendanges" was presented during a luxurious reception event held at Maxim's in Paris. Erté himself played host to celebrities such as Pierre Cardin and Princess Soraya. A few months later, Erté passed away. At the launch evening event, every guest received a gift of this same bottle, the label of which features a part of Erté's drawing. This Cognac is the one made for the Collection. The Cognac has been especially blended by Jean-Marc Olivier, our Cellar Master, using eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne exclusively, some of which correspond to important dates in Erté's life.
