Le Clos Marie is without doubt the Pic Saint-Loup's most beautiful domain, and among the most sought-after by switched-on connoisseurs. From their twenty or so hectares of vines, Christophe Peyrus and his wife Françoise Julien have achieved miracles since 1995. Their vines are biodynamically cultivated, with long, careful élevages. Manon is one the Languedoc’s finest white wines. A blend of seven grape varieties, it is very precise and beautifully balanced. The nose offers up intense aromas of white flower and citrus, and the palate is very pleasant with a long finish. The grapes are cultivated on clay and limestone soils and in line with organic and biodynamic principles. In the winery, they are partially de-stemmed and macerated for a long period, with punch-down. The wine is then aged in barriques.
