Information
Le Clos Marie is without doubt the Pic Saint-Loup's most beautiful domain, and among the most sought-after by switched-on connoisseurs. From their twenty or so hectares of vines, Christophe Peyrus and his wife Françoise Julien have achieved miracles since 1995. Their vines are biodynamically cultivated, with long, careful élevages. Each of their cuvées is very expressive, reflecting the full diversity of its terroir with its own highly individual style. The star of this already remarkable domain continues to rise. Definitely one to watch! Read more
Les Glorieuses is remarkably subtle and represents Languedoc wine at its best. The nose is particularly appealing with its aromas of ripe fruit mixed with spicy notes, and the palate is fleshy with a long finish. The wine is made with equal proportions of Grenache and Syrah which are partially de-stemmed and macerated for a long period, with punch-down. Drink this cuvée within 15 years and open two hours before serving.
