Information
Formerly known as Château de Branayre, it was changed to Château d'Arche, when it was bought by the Counts of Arche in 1733. Pierre Perromat now runs this 40-hectare vineyard. The chateau enjoys a privileged location near the beautiful Romanesque church of Saint-Saturnin of the XIIth century (listed) and with rich grounds. Its wines, very typical, are among the best of the commune.
Vinified in stainless steel tanks and matured in barrels (1/3 of nine), the Sauternes of Château d'Arche reach a very good level. The palate is round and rich but always well balanced, and mainly expresses aromas of crystallised and exotic fruits, white flowers and honey.
