About the producer
Château de Valois is located at the southern end of the Pomerol appellation, and is the result of the division of its Saint-Émilion neighbour, Château Figeac, in 1862. Bernard Leydet took over the domaine in 1962 and worked tirelessly to improve the château. His son has since taken over the reins.
About the wine
This is a rounded, well-balanced, fruity, suave wine with great potential for keeping. It has a very complex bouquet of licorice and black berries. On the palate it is soft, rounded and refined.
