Information
The vines of Domaine Jean Vesselle grow on an exceptional terroir, stretching along the landscapes between Bouzy and Loches sur Ource. The 15 hectares of vines consist mainly of Pinot Noir, with a little over one hectare of Chardonnay added in 2014, located in the renowned commune of Chouilly. Convinced of the short- and long-term benefits for the vines and the wine, the estate manages the cultivation of its soils with care receiving its Haute Valeur Environnementale (High Environmental Value) certificate in 2019. To minimise the use of weedkillers and chemical fertilisers, the estate favours tillage and grass cover whenever possible. In the winery, the same dedication and attention to detail are applied at every stage of the winemaking process. Since 2007, the family has also carried out extensive modernisation work on their production site, to ensure that they continue to produce wines in an ever more environmentally friendly way.
