Information
Both the Marchand and Grillot families were already emblematic figures in the Burgundy wine scene before they joined forces in 1950 following a wedding and established the domain we know today, based in Gevrey-Chambertin. A leading vineyard on the Côte de Nuits, the Marchand-Grillot domain extends over almost 12 hectares of vines, spread over some 50 different parcels, spanning the region’s finest appellations. Each cuvée displays its own unique flavours, reflecting the unique soil and subsoil characteristics of each parcel. Today, the domain has been striving to produce authentic, fragrant cuvées that reflect the elegance and wealth of Burgundy wines for over seven generations. For over 25 years, the domain has firmly believed in the benefits of sustainable viticulture and organic agriculture for vines and wine. In the winery, the winemaker strives to respect the subtleties of the grape varieties and the terroir through gentle, precise, and input-free vinification.
