Information
The Galardi domaine belongs to the Catella and Murenna families, who grow two indigenous grape varieties (Aglianico and Piedirosso) on 10 hectares at 400 metres above sea level. The domaine focuses on low yields and minimal intervention in the cellar. The wines are sought after for their traditional production methods and their faithful expression of the Campania terroir.
This cuvée is a blend of the two individual grape varieties grown by the domain. Their 20-day maceration, followed by over a year's élevage in oak barrels, lends the nose a complex bouquet of spice and black berries enhanced with mineral and floral touches. The palate has similar ambitions; powerful, but becoming more harmonious over time. With its ripe tannins and great acidity, this cuvée can be drunk straight away, yet has great potential for keeping.
