Information
Domaine Henri Clerc et Fils was founded in the 16th century in the heart of Puligny-Montrachet. In 2002, his descendant Bernard Clerc, retired and sold a large part of his vines to Vincent Girardin. The latter vinifies and matures his wines at Meursault, after manual harvesting of the prestigious vines of the Côte de Beaune, such as Bienvenue, Bâtard-Montrachet and Chevalier-Montrachet. The time taken for aging in oak barrels (of which 30% are renewed each year), varies between 11 and 13 months
Of all Domaine Henri Clerc's great wines, Chevalier-Montrachet is the most structured. With the same richness as a Bâtard or a Bienvenues, it has a more marked acidity. A wine of immense sophistication, ready for drinking after at least 10 years' aging.
