Château Pierre de Lune
Information
About the producer

Pierre de Lune is a relatively new property that was created in 1999 by two talented young winemakers, Véronique and Tony Ballu, and has since earned critical acclaim. Tony Ballu was previously the steward at Château Clos-Fourtet, a Saint Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classé. The couple bought a one-hectare plot of vines in the Saint-Emilion appellation with a view to creating a new wine: Château Pierre de Lune. The wines are vinified with the advice of Stéphane Derenoncourt.

About the wine

The bouquet is complex, with elegant notes of red fruit, accompanied by prunes and toast. The palate offers the same aromatic richness and over the years the tannins become more refined and the aromas develop tertiary notes. Supple and full-bodied, their perfect balance makes them enjoyable from an early age.
