Loire Valley | 2001 vintage
A great vintage with outstanding white wines and aromatic red wines. The vintage is great for the wines from Coteaux du Layon, Vouvray and Montlouis. Aromatic, complex and with a long ageing potential, they will be remembered. Wines from Savennières are impressive for their power and concentration. Concentrated and with a long ageing potential, wines from Chinon in 2001 are often better than those of 1996. With a good average quality, wines from Pouilly are more homogeneous than those from Sancerres.
