Loire Valley | 1998 vintage
A good vintage, where the very best rub shoulders with the worst. The spring was wet and cold, the summer extremely hot and September was damp and rainy, followed by sunny weather that managed to compensate. Overall, the wines are easy to drink, with light, dry whites and reds of average concentration. The sweet wines suffered the most from the poor weather conditions, and feature average quality levels.
