Champagne | 1998 vintage
1998 had an unsettled summer: a cool July, followed by a hot August and finally a damp September. The dry weather that followed allowed the grapes to reach a good ripeness like the other regions. Nevertheless the wine-growers needed to be selective during harvesting.
