Champagne | 1960 vintage
1989 is a very great vintage, the result of an exceptional summer that produced highly-fragrant wines: heady, strong, rich and faintly acidic. However, they did not reach the consistency of the 1990 wines, due to some unfortunate cases, like the Gewurztraminer, which was made with sour grapes.
