Burgundy | 1952 vintage
The spring and summer of 1952 were extremely early and conducive to vine growth. The heat and drought of June and July would have compromised ripening if it hadn't been for the rain on 15th August. At harvest time the grapes were in perfect condition, although less grapes were picked than in the previous two years. Both the white and red wines are excellent. The red wines are nicely-coloured, supple and very fine, while the white wines are silky and very elegant.
