Burgundy | 1949 vintage
Like its predecessor, 1949 was marked by irregular atmospheric conditions. A dry and sunny April stimulated the development of the grapes, but the bad weather in June compromised the flowering and considerably reduced the harvest. The dry summer did not improve matters, but fortunately the vines were brought back to life by a stormy spell. The harvest was reduced by roughly 40% for red wine and more than 50% for white wine. The wines are fruity and perfectly-balanced.
