Beaujolais | 2009 vintage
2009 is a very good year for Beaujolais. A very healthy harvest produced some lovely, perfectly-ripe grapes. In general, the wines have an opulent fruitiness with a dense and voluptuous substance. A vintage for the southern wines more than the northern ones, producing a fairly unusual but nevertheless quite delicious wine that will win back all those that are too quick to associate this region with an aggressive acidity.
