Beaujolais | 2000 vintage
An outstanding vintage. This vintage was earlier than those of the last 30 years thanks to a hot and sunny spring and a year marked by very mild weather. August recorded stifling temperatures. The grapes were harvested in glorious sunshine without so much as a drop of rain. The grapes were ripened to perfection which produced full-bodied wines with powerful tannins, predicting a long cellaring capacity. The Chénas, Brouilly and Moulin à Vent are spectacular.
