Alsace | 2005 vintage
An unexpected but nonetheless favourable Indian summer provided perfect conditions for harvesting. So far 2005 promises to be a very good vintage. The grapes have a good sanitary state, and are perfectly ripe with an ideal level of acidity. The wines already have a lovely pure aromatic and the elegant characteristics of the previous great years. 2005 has also proven to be an excellent year, both in quantity and quality, for the Vendange Tardive (Late Harvest) and Sélection de Grains Nobles (Noble Berries Selection) cuvées, which have been almost nonexistant for the last two vintages.
