Alsace | 1990 vintage
1990, comparable to the great years of 1983,1985 and 1989, is a highly consistent and top-class vintage. All the grape varieties produced marvellous wines, but the Riesling particularly excelled itself. The strong and intense Gewurztraminer produced a small quantity of perfect wines, well-balanced and mellow. The late harvests produced a small amount of high-quality wines.
