        Gooderham & Worts

Gooderham & Worts is a Canadian distillery founded in Toronto in 1869 by James Worts and his brother-in-law William Gooderham. It became famous during Prohibition by trading with bootleggers. In 1928, Gooderham & Worts was fined $439,744. The business merged with Hiram Walker in 1926. The distillery closed in 1990, but the Gooderham & Worts brand continues to be produced by Pernod Ricard in Windsor, Ontario.
