Georges Joillot (anciennement Jean-Luc Joillot)

Let’s head to Pommard, an area in the Côte de Beaune where we can find this family domaine that is run by the fourth generation today and creates powerful wines that are always structured by fine tannins.

Domaine Jean-Luc came to life in 1929 It was the great-grandfather of the current owners who created it. A winemaker and vine nursery caretaker, he transferred ownership to his son Georges who continued both of these activities until his sudden death in 1971. In 1981, Jean-Luc Joillot started working at the domain with his mother Simone, both of them taking care of the 6 hectares. Over time, beautiful plots such as the Pommard Les Charmots et Les Epenots were added. Today, the 14 hectares of vines is tended to by his daughter Jeanne, step-son Simon Goutard and son-in-law Grégoire Guidot.
